Preparatory course from electrical engineering

Department of Theoretical Electrical Engineering and Electrical measurement offers you an intensive course from electrical engineering in 6.-10.9.2009. This 20 hour long course is focused on complementarity of electrical engineering knowledge for graduates from various types of secondary schools. It is highly recommended for gradutates from non-technical secondary schools. Passing the course can help succesfully pass the Electrical Engineering subject in 1. year of study.

First meeting of participants with opening lecture will be on 6.9.2009 from 14.00 till 17.00. Following days the course will be from 14.00 till 17.00. Practical part will be realised in two person groups. 

Course Topics: one-way ideal and real sources of voltage and electric current, connections of passive parts, coil and capacitor in circuits with one-way sources, Ohm´s Law, analysis of electrical circuits – I. and II. Kirchhoff´s Law, direct usage of Kirchhoff´s Laws, voltage and current divider, demonstration of osciloscope usage in circuits with one-way and alternating current sources. Calculator, pen and paper are needed for the course.

Students who will have confirmation about accomodation in student´s dormitory can be accomodated there during the course duration.
